Privacy Policy
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, the display name you pick, your hashed password (via Firebase Authentication), and, if you set one, your shop name. When you use the app, we store your progress: question answers, XP, day streak, badges earned, bookmarks, and, if you accept, the app's error codes when something breaks.
Where we store it
On Google Firebase servers (Realtime Database and Authentication), United States region. We do not sell or share this information with third parties.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics on the marketing site (sharpenlyapp.com) to count visits. Plausible is cookieless and does not track personal identity. Inside the app (app.sharpenlyapp.com) we additionally use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how learners use it: which roles get picked, which quizzes get completed, which lessons get opened, and how often people return. Firebase Analytics is tied to your account ID so we can see retention and progress patterns. We never sell or share this data with third parties. To request that we delete your analytics history, use the contact page.
Your rights
You can request that we delete your account and all associated data via the contact page, using the email tied to your account. We process the request within 7 days.
Sign in with Google
If you use "Continue with Google", we receive your email and public name. We never receive your Google password or access to Gmail, Drive, or other Google services.
Children
Sharpenly is not directed to children under 13. If we discover that a minor created an account, we will delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will show an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
