Refunds & Cancellations
Sharpenly Pro (individual)
New subscribers get a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund window. Email billing@sharpenlyapp.com with your account email within 14 days of the first charge and we will refund the full amount within 5 business days. After day 14, you can cancel anytime in the customer portal; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, after which the subscription ends and no further charges apply.
Sharpenly Team (shops)
Monthly Team plans cancel at the end of the current billing month, no partial-month refund. Annual Team plans can be canceled anytime; we refund any complete unused months (rounded down) on a prorated basis if the cancellation is requested within the first 90 days. After 90 days, annual cancellations stop renewal but the remaining months are not refunded. To cancel, sign in at sharpenlyapp.com/manager → Billing → Manage.
Controlled pilot accounts
Shops on a complimentary or controlled-pilot agreement (no card on file) are not subject to refunds since no payment was taken. We may end the pilot with 14 days notice if usage falls below the agreed minimum, after which a standard Team plan applies if the shop wants to continue.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry over the next 3-7 days. We keep the shop active during that grace period; if all retries fail, Pro / Team access is paused but data is preserved. Update your payment method in the customer portal and access resumes immediately.
Disputes & chargebacks
Before opening a card dispute, please email billing@sharpenlyapp.com, we resolve almost every billing issue within 2 business days, faster than the dispute process. Chargebacks may result in permanent account suspension.
How to request a refund
Email billing@sharpenlyapp.com with: (1) the email tied to the account, (2) the charge date or invoice number, (3) a one-line reason (optional but helps us improve). We confirm receipt within 1 business day and process refunds within 5 business days through Stripe to your original payment method.
